Qualifications:

Reports To:  Principal/Director and Supervisor of Custodial Services

 

Job Goal:

 

The job of Custodian is done for the purpose of maintaining an attractive, sanitary and safe facility for students, staff, and the public; providing equipment and furniture arrangements for meetings, classroom activities and events; and minimizing property damage, loss and liability exposure. 

 

Performance Responsibilities

Specific Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

 

Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include:  operating equipment and materials used to in industrial maintenance including electrical cleaning equipment, common tools, etc., and adhering to safety practices; lifting up to seventy-five pounds; and preparing and maintaining accurate records.

 

Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the function of the job includes:  methods of industrial cleaning; preserving floors, walls, fixtures, etc., cleaning materials; and safety practices and procedures.

 

Specific abilities required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include:  adapting to changing work priorities; communicating with diverse groups; meeting deadlines and schedules; working as part of a team; working with constant interruptions; and adapting personal daily schedule to accommodate abnormal work hours.

240 Days; Salary based on District Scale for Custodians
